Description

The Photographer’s quest to capture a mysterious creature within a frame starts them both on parallel journeys. The city is in turmoil; all eyes are on a naked young man who transforms into a tree by nightfall. As the Photographer tries to rescue him, his own life is thrown into disarray, risking the cherished love he holds for his Neighbour-Girl.

The novel is about a young naked man with only a long leaf creeping around his body. In the daytime, he tries to hide from people and the authorities that are chasing him for being different and indecent. With the fall of night, he becomes a tree and starts wandering unnoticed through the streets and little alleyways, observing all kinds of secret happenings in the city. A street photographer is the first who sees in a dreamy fuddled vision this creature by the side of a river at the outskirts of the city disappearing into the nearby bushes. This starts him on an obsessive journey to find the tree-man to photograph him. The appearance of the naked man would enchain a series of events bringing the city into turmoil. The Photographer’s quest would change the course of his life, missing his long-cherished love with his neighbour.
